The 400 hectare La Cien concession is in a historic gold district, La Cieniega, located 40 km south of Caborca in northern Sonora State.
Geology
The Cien concession contains Precambrian aged granite and schist cut by an easterly dipping low angle thrust fault. Gold associated with felsic dikes is found in the footwall of the thrust zone. Pediment's plans at La Cien are to determine the structure's potential along an observed length of 2 kilometers, and to look for hidden deposits.
